We’re seeking Correspondents from diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds to provide on-the-ground perspective on global media trends locally. Whether covering conventions, cultural events, protests, or regional media phenomena, Correspondents help us understand culture beyond a Western-centric lens.
Responsibilities:
- Report on events, media trends, and political movements in your region
- Conduct interviews with local creators, activists, and cultural figures
- Document events through writing, photography, or video
- Offer cultural perspective and nuance editing that remote analysis might miss
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of your local cultural and political landscape
- Ability to identify and explain cultural patterns to international audience
- Strong communication skills in English (multilingual abilities a plus)
- Understanding of different cultural contexts
- Network of local contacts or ability to build one
- Critical eye for both local and global power structures
Currently seeking correspondents from: Asia, Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and any regions within the United States or Canada.
