Widgets Settings
Widgets settings are where you can customize your profile as much or as little as you’d like.
You can use the ‘About Me’ widget to add another name (a stage name, nickname, full name, whatever you’d like), as well as your job title and a bio. You can also style the widget further by adding a picture.
‘Portfolio’ is where you can add work that you would like to spotlight. You add an image, title, and the link to each item, and people can access them from your profile’s ‘Overview’ tab.
‘Project’ is where you can add a featured or recent project – this is where you can promote any requests for your project. For example, if you are casting for a short film, you could highlight this in your featured project widget.
‘Quote’ is pretty self-explanatory. You can add a background image or leave it blank.
‘Link’ is where you can add the link to a website you want to call attention to, and ‘Video’ is the same, but for video links, of course.
Lastly, ‘Article Spotlight’ is a widget where you can add a featured article from your member blog if you would like to direct people to a specific one. Your recent articles will also show up under the ‘Overview’ tab, as well as in the ‘Articles’ tab.
Explore Profile Page Layout
Your profile page is where you can quickly find all of your (and others’ on their profile pages) information, such as groups, forums, blog posts, etc.
The ‘Activity’ tab is where you will find your personal activity feed. This is your feed of posts, like your profile on Twitter. It automatically adds an update to notify your friends when you do certain activities, such as when you write a blog post.
The ‘Overview’ tab is where you can view the profile widgets discussed earlier, such as your portfolio or a featured article.
The ‘Info’ tab is where you can view the information from the profile fields you added.
‘Articles’ is where all of your blog posts will show up.
‘Groups’ is a list of all of the groups you have joined.
The following tabs are under the ‘More’ dropdown:
‘Forums’ is where you can see all the topics and replies you’ve created, as well as view your forum notifications.
‘Friends’ is where you will find a list of your friends and friend requests.
‘Bookmarks’ is where you will find all of the bookmarks you have saved. These are private and no one else can view them.
‘Media’ is where you can find all of your uploaded media – images, videos, files, etc.
‘Memberships’ is where you can view your member account information. This tells you what membership level you are, what forums your membership gives you access to, your invoice history, and a link to cancel your membership if needed.
‘Write Article’ is where you can manage your member blog. You can view your drafts, then edit, delete, and publish them. You can also unpublish your old ones. Selecting ‘Add New Post’ will take you to the post submission page.
