About the Convergence Community
A space where cultural analysis meets community connection – built for those who are looking for ways to take action while staying informed.
What Is the Convergence Community?
The Convergence Community is our online platform where members gather to discuss cultural commentary, share insights, action requests, and connect with fellow readers who understand that analyzing fictional characters can be just as revealing as any political punditry.
This is where The Convergence Lens comes alive as more than a publication – it’s a space for ongoing conversation, collaborative learning, and building connections with people who care deeply about understanding how culture shapes power, and who want to find ways to get involved in advocacy but don’t know where to start.
The platform is not accessible to anyone without a valid membership. This includes all social profiles, member forums, and groups. The only things publicly visible are the articles written for our member blogs; these will be posted to our Community Column so that you may share the links to your work with friends/family.

Community Expectations
Our platform operates with clear values and expectations:
- Zero tolerance for bigotry: We center the safety of marginalized members over the comfort of those causing harm.
- Good faith discussions encouraged: Disagree with each other, sure, but personal attacks aren’t tolerated.
- Content warnings required: We protect each other by flagging explicit details of triggering topics.
- Privacy respected: Posting screenshots on other platforms requires consent from all parties.
- Take space, make space: Balance your participation so everyone can contribute equally.
This is a space where cultural criticism and social justice advocacy can coexist with joy, curiosity, and connection.
Read our Community Guidelines for more details.
